Chicago Irish Heritage Festival.

A fantastic event with some excellent entertainment. The line up included Gaelic Storm, Solas, The Tossers, Seven Nations, Makem and Spain Brothers, and The Young Dubliners. The huge crowds were treated to wonderful weather, fantastic food, brilliant beer and marvelous music. This event also offers indoor and outdoor options, with the old converted school containing bars, music, an Irish library on the third floor along with a small museum. This event and building is a credit to the Irish of Chicago, a great event definately worth taking the time to see when in the Chicago area.

Hi Sorley Boy,

I have something that might be of interest to you.

We’re trying to promote the SeventyMillion Project using the web and I wonder would you like to help us out.

The SeventyMillion Project is a social project to find, map and explore Irishness and Irish heritage worldwide. There are 70 million people around the world with Irish heritage or an Irish link and we are trying to find where they are and also out what that link means to them.

We've created a website (http://www.seventymillion.org) where we are mapping people around the world and capturing their thoughts on their Irish link.

What we’re looking for is for bloggers to mention the SeventyMillion Project to their readers (only if you think it is of interest of course), point them to the SeventyMillion website at http://www.seventymillion.org and perhaps encourage their readers to tell other people about the project.

We're really trying to make this a person to person project; and we hope that with each person we contact, we get a little closer to finding those seventy million people around the world.

Karl
